We keep this simple and honest. Your privacy matters, and we treat your information the way we would want ours treated.
Who we are

The law we follow
We collect and handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. We only collect information we need, we tell you what we are doing with it, and we do not keep it for longer than needed.
What we collect
When you buy a ticket, your booking is handled by our ticketing partner, Humanitix. They collect details such as your name, email address, payment information and any dietary or accessibility notes you choose to share. We receive attendee details from Humanitix so we can run the event and contact you about it.
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to tell us.
How we use it
We use your information to run the event, answer your questions, and send updates about GTV such as schedule changes or event reminders. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers who help us run the event, like our ticketing partner.
Age check and cookies
Because GTV is an R18 event, this site asks whether you are 18 or over. We store that answer in your browser for the current session only. It is not sent to us and it is not used to identify you.
The site may use standard analytics tools to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. These tools use browser cookies and collect general usage information, not your identity.
Third-party services
We use trusted third parties to run GTV: Humanitix for ticketing and payments, and email and analytics providers for event communication and site statistics. Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy, and only to deliver its part of the service.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is wrong. You can also ask us to remove you from any event updates. Just email mail@simplepleasures.nz and we will sort it out.
Photos at the event
Photos may be taken at GTV and may be used for marketing material and social media. Please let us know if you would prefer not to be included, either by email before the event or by telling a team member on the night, and we will happily respect that.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We only keep it for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires.
